Frequently asked questions
Short answers about anonymity, the 3D city, the stats, and how submissions work.
What is MyLastTab?
A live, anonymous diary of what people had in their last browser tab. People describe it in a few words, we count it and place it in a shared 3D city.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no login and no account.
Is it anonymous?
Yes. There is no account, no email, no IP stored in plain text. We use a daily salted hash for rate limiting only.
Are screenshots uploaded?
No. The app only accepts a short text description. There is no image upload.
Does the app read my browser tabs automatically?
No. MyLastTab does not read your browser tabs automatically. You decide what to write and submit.
What data is stored?
Your short description plus lightweight, anonymized metadata. See the privacy page for the full, exact list.
Read the privacy pageCan I delete my submission?
Because submissions are anonymous and we do not store identifiers, deletion by user request is not currently possible. Contact us if you believe a submission should be removed.
How does the 3D city work?
Every real submission becomes a building. The position is stored in the database, so the same submission lands in the same place on every refresh.
Why are there empty lots in the city?
Empty lots are reserved visual slots for future real submissions. They are not fake entries and are not counted in any statistic.
Are Latest entries real?
Yes. The Latest entries list only ever shows real submissions from the database.
How are hourly stats calculated?
We group real submissions by their local hour and count them. Nothing is faked or padded.
Can I report inappropriate content?
Yes. Use the Contact page and mention the entry slug or text. We will review and remove if needed.
Does the app track browsing history?
No. We have no access to your browsing history. We only see the text you choose to submit.
How does light/dark theme work?
The theme follows your system by default. You can override it from the menu. The 3D city has separate material presets for each theme.
